Only one city in the world hosted three Olympic Games. However, there is no Olympic Stadium in London. London Stadium was originally built for the 2012 Games, but has been thoroughly redeveloped and was renamed after the Olympics. The White City Stadium, built for the 1908 Olympics, was demolished in 1985. And the most famous Olympic stadium in London was a stadium that already existed before the games. It was The Home of Football.
The old Wembley Stadium was demolished and replaced by a new stadium, that’s supposed to meet current standards. But the towers have gone and the 39 famous steps have been replaced by 107 steps.
